Jon Roozenbeek is a Lecturer in Psychology at the Department of Psychology, University of Cambridge, and a Lecturer in Psychology and Security at the Department of War Studies, King's College London. Roozenbeek completed a PhD in Slavonic Studies at the University of Cambridge in 2020, following master's degrees from Maastricht University and Uppsala University, and undergraduate study at Leiden University. Prior to current appointments, Roozenbeek held postdoctoral fellowships from the British Academy and the Economic and Social Research Council at Cambridge, and previously worked at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Roozenbeek's research focuses on misinformation susceptibility, psychological inoculation interventions, and the effectiveness of prebunking and gamified approaches to enhance public resilience against manipulation tactics, with applications spanning vaccine hesitancy, political polarization, extremism prevention, and the epistemic integrity of democratic discourse.
