Jolanda Jetten is a professor of social psychology at the School of Psychology, The University of Queensland, who received a PhD from the Department of Social Psychology at the University of Amsterdam in 1997. Jetten's research addresses a broad range of questions in intergroup relations and social identity, including how economic inequality shapes political attitudes and prosocial behavior, the psychology of conspiracy beliefs, collective action and social change, and the social determinants of well-being and mental health. Recent work has examined public responses to counter-protest movements, the role of social identity in loneliness and recovery from adversity, and how fossil fuel reliance across nations relates to support for climate change mitigation.
