Yangxueqing Jiang is a PhD candidate in the School of Medicine and Psychology at the Australian National University who completed a Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) in Science at the same institution in 2019. Jiang's research interests span causal inference, misinformation, fake news, conspiracy theory, and methodological triangulation, with recent work examining how physiological signals relate to belief in false information, the mechanisms by which repetition affects acceptance of climate-skeptical claims, and the role of counterattitudinal alignment in protecting against illusory truth effects. Jiang has contributed to advancing understanding of the psychological and physiological correlates of misinformation belief and has emphasized rigorous causal inference approaches in studying conspiracy and misinformation phenomena.
