Tim Kurz

Tim Kurz is a psychologist at the School of Psychological Science, University of Western Australia, where Kurz previously held a lectureship at Murdoch University before moving to positions at the University of Exeter and the University of Bath. Kurz's research addresses misinformation, conspiracy theories, and causal inference, with additional work on environmental psychology, social identity, and the psychological consequences of climate-related disasters such as the 2019-2020 Australian bushfires. Recent publications examine the effectiveness of prebunking and debunking interventions, the spread of climate misinformation, and the social dynamics of norm enforcement and behaviour change.
