Tim Kurz is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the School of Psychological Science, University of Western Australia, with extensive experience in social and environmental psychology. Kurz previously held positions as Senior Lecturer at the University of Bath from 2016 to the present, Senior Lecturer at the University of Exeter from 2010 to 2016, and Lecturer at Murdoch University from 2006 to 2009. Kurz's research interests span misinformation and conspiracy theory, climate change communication, social identity and mental health, and environmental psychology, with methodological expertise in causal inference and methodological triangulation. Kurz has published widely on topics including the psychological impacts of environmental disasters, interventions for combating misinformation, social determinants of wellbeing in vulnerable populations, and public attitudes toward sustainability and climate policy.
