University of Virginia
Xanni Brown is a Mellon Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Frank L. Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia. Brown's research spans political psychology, economic inequality, and intergroup relations, with particular focus on how status perceptions, racial demographics, and attributions of bias shape political attitudes and behaviors among White Americans. Brown's recent work examines connections between perceived economic marginalization and opposition to diversity initiatives, as well as how framing discrimination as implicit versus explicit influences responses to racial inequality. Brown employs advanced quantitative methods including latent profile analysis and longitudinal designs to investigate these dynamics.
