William Cipolli

William Cipolli is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Colgate University, where Cipolli has served since 2016. Cipolli holds a PhD in Statistics and an MS in Statistics from the University of South Carolina, as well as a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Mathematics from Quinnipiac University. Prior to joining Colgate, Cipolli worked as a Graduate Assistant in Statistics at the University of South Carolina from 2012 to 2016 and as a Software Engineer at Pitney Bowes Inc in 2011–2012. Cipolli's research interests span statistical methodology, including Bayesian nonparametric methods and mixture models, alongside applied work in political psychology, racial bias in institutional decision-making, and the role of group dynamics in shaping social attitudes and perceptions.
