Erin Cooley
Colgate University
Erin Cooley is a psychologist at Colgate University whose research examines racial attitudes, economic inequality, and political psychology. Cooley's work investigates how stereotypes about race and economic status shape public support for welfare, anti-discrimination, and voting policies, as well as how White Americans' perceptions of their own group's status relate to political behavior and health outcomes. Recent publications address the distribution of anti-Black discrimination across judicial, hiring, and housing contexts, and the relationship between feelings of status threat and support for far-right political movements.
