Jonas R. Kunst

Jonas R. Kunst is Professor of Communication at BI Norwegian Business School and Professor of Cultural and Community Psychology at the Department of Psychology, University of Oslo. Kunst received a B.A. in General Psychology from the University of Bergen, completed an M.Phil. and PhD in Social and Cultural Psychology at the University of Oslo, and held postdoctoral positions at the University of Oslo and Yale University before joining Oslo's faculty as an associate professor in 2019. Research interests include acculturation and majority-group adaptation, misinformation and conspiracy theories, and violent extremism, with more recent work examining the psychological implications of artificial intelligence. Kunst serves as Editor-in-Chief of advances.in/psychology and as Consulting Editor for the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and the Society of Experimental Social Psychology.
