David L. Sam

David L. Sam is a Professor in the Department of Psychosocial Science at the University of Bergen, where Sam completed a PhD at HEMIL-senteret in 1995. Sam's research encompasses acculturation, developmental psychology, discrimination, Indigenous studies, and integration, with recent work examining acculturation in pluralistic societies, neurocognitive outcomes in children with sickle cell disease, and the psychological impacts on caregivers. Sam has also contributed to evaluating integration hypotheses through meta-analytic approaches applied to large-scale cross-cultural datasets.
