Efisio Manunta is a social psychologist currently employed at CLLE, Université de Toulouse, CNRS in France. Manunta completed a PhD in Cognitive Sciences at the University of Toulouse and holds an MSc in Cognitive Sciences from the same institution as well as a BSc in Psychology from Università degli Studi di Cagliari. Manunta's research interests span social identity, political psychology, ideologies, and identity motivations, with particular focus on collective action, populism, political trust, and the psychological mechanisms underlying political behavior and intergroup dynamics. Manunta has contributed to large-scale cross-national studies examining topics ranging from COVID-19 responses and health messaging to populist attitudes and the effects of election outcomes on social trust.
