Genavee Brown

Genavee Brown is a Lecturer in Psychology at Northumbria University, a position held since 2019. Brown completed a Masters in Experimental Psychology at Western Washington University in 2014 and a PhD in Social Psychology at the Université de Rennes 2 in 2018. Brown's research spans social media behaviour, queer identities and wellbeing, collective action, and political trust, with recent work examining how collective action affects post-election trust using longitudinal data from the 2024 UK general election. Other published work addresses topics including vaccination hesitancy, COVID-19 preventive behaviours, and the dynamics of online communication across cultural contexts.
