Genavee Brown

Genavee Brown is a Lecturer in Psychology at Northumbria University, a position held since 2019. Brown completed a PhD in Social Psychology at the Université de Rennes 2 in 2018, having earlier earned a Master's degree in Experimental Psychology from Western Washington University in 2014. Brown's research spans social media behavior, queer identity and well-being, collective action, and political trust, including longitudinal work examining how collective action shapes trust following elections. Additional published work addresses topics such as vaccination attitudes, COVID-19 behavioral responses, and the dynamics of online communication and social competence.
