Tyler Ritchie completed a PhD in Psychology at Victoria University of Wellington in 2025. Ritchie's research focuses on acculturation and multiculturalism, with particular attention to Indigenous and Māori frameworks for understanding identity and wellbeing. Published work includes the development of Ngaruroro, a model for understanding Māori wellbeing, and critical engagement with the decolonization of acculturation science.
