Quassim Cassam

Quassim Cassam is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Warwick, a position held since 2009. Cassam studied philosophy, politics, and economics at the University of Oxford, going on to complete a B.Phil. and a D.Phil. in philosophy there, and subsequently spent nearly two decades as a Lecturer and Fellow and Tutor in Philosophy at Oxford before holding chairs at University College London and the University of Cambridge. Cassam's research spans epistemology, self-knowledge, and the philosophy of mind, with books including "The Possibility of Knowledge" and "Vices of the Mind," as well as more recent work on epistemic injustice, vaccine hesitancy, and the philosophical dimensions of radicalization and violent extremism.
