Quassim Cassam

Quassim Cassam is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Warwick, a position held since 2009. Cassam studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford, going on to complete a B.Phil. and D.Phil. in Philosophy there, and subsequently spent nearly two decades as a Lecturer and Fellow and Tutor in Philosophy at Oxford before holding chairs at University College London and Cambridge. Cassam's research spans epistemology, self-knowledge, and the philosophy of mind, with books and articles addressing topics such as the possibility of knowledge, vice epistemology, and epistemic injustice. More recently, Cassam has published on extremism, radicalization, and vaccine hesitancy, examining these phenomena through a philosophical lens.
