Quassim Cassam is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Warwick, a position held since 2009. Cassam read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford, subsequently completing a B.Phil. and a D.Phil. in Philosophy there, and went on to hold a lectureship and a fellowship at Wadham College, Oxford, from 1986 to 2004. Cassam later held a professorship at University College London and the Knightbridge Professorship of Philosophy at Cambridge before moving to Warwick. Research interests span epistemology, self-knowledge, and vice epistemology, as well as applied questions concerning extremism, radicalization, and the epistemic dimensions of ideology and terrorism.
