Nafees Hamid

Nafees Hamid is Research and Policy Director in the Department of War Studies at King's College London, a position held since 2021. Hamid's research examines radicalization and violent extremism, with particular attention to the psychological and developmental factors that contribute to political violence, including adverse childhood experiences and trauma. Recent work includes a scoping review of the literature connecting childhood adversity to violent extremism and an examination of offline versus online radicalization.
