Irene Cisma

Irene Cisma is a researcher at the Institut de Neurociències at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with previous employment at the University of the Basque Country. Cisma's research interests span crowdsourcing, fact-checking, misinformation, network analysis, and trust, with a particular focus on understanding how social and neural mechanisms interact in contexts of group dynamics and information sharing. Recent work by Cisma includes investigations into the neural correlates of group and personal rejection as well as efforts to scale crowdsourcing interventions designed to combat partisan misinformation.
