Hemant Kakkar

Hemant Kakkar is an Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour at the Indian School of Business, a position held since 2023. Kakkar received a PhD in Organisational Behaviour from London Business School in 2019. Much of Kakkar's research examines social hierarchy and status, including how dominance and prestige operate as routes to influence, how leader dominance shapes employee mindsets and behavior, and how rank-ordered hierarchies affect individuals over time. Kakkar also works on misinformation, studying the role of personality traits such as conscientiousness and political ideology in the spread of fake news, as well as methodological questions in misinformation research more broadly.
