Cian O’Mahony

Cian O'Mahony is a researcher in the School of Applied Psychology at University College Cork, where O'Mahony completed a BA in Applied Psychology in 2018 before going on to earn an MSc in Neuropsychology from the Department of Experimental Psychology at Utrecht University. O'Mahony's research addresses conspiracy theories, misinformation, and the development of interventions aimed at improving critical appraisal and discernment. Related work includes the development of the Critical Thinking About Conspiracies (CTAC) Test and research on inoculation approaches to misinformation, alongside contributions to applied health contexts including an evaluation of oncology nursing services in Ireland.
