Anja F. Ernst is an Assistant Professor in Psychometrics and Statistics at the University of Groningen, where she has been based since 2017. Ernst works on the analysis of intensive longitudinal data, with particular attention to methods for identifying heterogeneity across individuals in time series, including mixture multilevel vector-autoregressive models and clustering approaches. Much of this work addresses the practical challenge of recovering meaningful subgroups from longitudinal data collected through methods such as ecological momentary assessment. Ernst has also contributed to research on network analysis, model selection for nonstationary time series, and questions of research methodology including preregistration and common statistical misconceptions in clinical psychology.
