Jais Adam-Troian

Jais Adam-Troian is an Assistant Professor at Heriot-Watt University Dubai, a position held since 2023. Before joining Heriot-Watt, Adam-Troian held appointments at the Canadian University of Dubai, Keele University, and the American University of Sharjah. Adam-Troian's research spans the social psychology of political violence, radicalization, conspiracy beliefs, and propaganda, with additional work on obsessive passion and within-person dynamics. Much of this work examines how precarity, institutional trust, and ideological processes interact to produce extremist attitudes and behavior.
